Dune Formation & Advancement:- my Father is dwarfed at the scale of how a dune lives, moves & grows. I cover this in my tours. | An exposed 50m Former Higher Sea Level which could date back as far as 130, 000 years ago during the Inter-glacial Eemian Period where sea levels rose to where it is in this photo. How else does one explain how the shells are 50 - 60 meters above the present shoreline? |
A beached South African Fur Seal i found on the East side. It is a adult Male, bigger teeth & shoulders. Every day is an adventure, never know what you might find. | On the equinox spring low tides one can talk over to the exposed island reef. Only on certain times of the year i can show you. |
Spring equinox low tide one can see the healthy structure of the Mussel Bed. No poaching done here, as most of the time this Mussel Bed is covered by the sea. | Cape Rock Crab found on top of a dead Cape Cormorant a coastal sea Bird. |
